Classes will be 4 half-days from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM PDT - a total of 12 hours of training

The precise content of this intensive, hands-on, 12-hour course will pick up where the QuickStart class leaves off, focusing on:

• overview of JavaScript as it applies to Servoy, including:
  • Syntax
  • Flow control structures (if/else, loops, etc)
  • Calling methods, passing parameters, returning values
  • Date, String & Array manipulation
  • simple UI abstraction techniques
• writing Servoy methods to perform common business tasks such as
  • sending/receiving emails
  • posting batches of records to a table
  • using transactions to control multi-record/multi-table edit operations
  • performing complex data validation & error handling
  • etc.
• Enhancing your solution's UI using:
  • dialogs & windows
  • customized record navigation
  • row coloring
  • popup menus
  • HTML areas
• Other topics (as time allows):
  • developing for the Web Client
• global relations
• Servoy security
• SQL
• using modules
• generating reports

Course pre-requisite: Servoy QuickStart (or equivalent experience)

Course is fully interactive, delivered via WebEx. Includes full two-way audio and full two-way screen sharing/controlling for all Mac, Windows & Linux users. A course outline is proivded before the class begins and will be closely adhered to. Participants must have a good internet connection and must dial in to a conference call by phone - a toll number (within your country) will be provided. These classes are recorded, allowing students to go back and review material for up to 2 weeks after the class.
